If you have been reading my blog from the beginning then you know that I started with photography. Along the line I began to share my thoughts and experience as a new mother.
The first bio I’ve wrote here was the following;
I was born in Cape Verde and moved to Portugal at age 1. At age 13 I moved to United States and have been residing here ever since. During my journey to the U.S, I overcame many obstacles that lead me to convert to Islam. Through Islam, I found a new identification and place in this world. I became very passionate to learn about different cultures from an inner and outer perspective, especially my culture. One day I bought a professional camera with no formal training I began to capture the beauty around me. I hope to share with words and image the beauty that I see.
Since than a lot has changed. I am now a mother of three and no longer living in the States. Initially, I had moved to Egypt as a mother of 2 but shortly after our family grew a little bit more with 3 little kids. The experience as an expat mother in Egypt in a very un-expat area was very unique. I had many challenges as a mother in Egypt and was having a very different experience that I was not able find with other expats and in the internet.
This blog became just that, a way to release all my experiences and challenges that I have to face on a daily basis, hoping that someone can benefit and be part of a closer community
